DAYS 3 & 4
Said goodbye to Villa Igang then passed by the beautiful mango farm to take pictures. We had a filling brunch at The Pitstop and can’t get enough of their heavenly mango pizza!

We checked in at the comfy One Lourdes Dormitel in Iloilo City and rested a while before heading out to Miag-ao Church. It was a 1-hour bus ride from the city. The details of the church was beautiful and unique with its 225-year-old baroque facade, polished limestone walls, and gold-plated altar.
Next stop should have been Museo Iloilo but it closes at 5pm so we went straight to Freska at Smallville instead for a very satisfying dinner. The food was great and affordable! Eli found cakes and sweets at Nothing But Desserts located at the end of the strip and discovered a tasty chicharon worth buying for pasalubong at the convenience store just across it.
Early the next day, we had breakfast at the dormitel then went straight to the airport and headed back to Manila.
Whoo! And there goes my first trip to a Visayan island (and probably the last for this pregnancy). Thank you LORD! Thank you Eli! Thank you family tropa! Looking forward for more this year. :)
26 weeks and having the time of my life!
Ave Maria Island, Guimaras

DAY 2
Went island hopping to see turtles, mangroves, caves, Baras beach resort and swim in the beautiful beach of Ave Maria Island.
Had lunch when we returned to the resort then rested and explored Villa Igang. This resort has so much potential. We walked through the mangroves on bamboo bridges, saw the flowers in the butterfly habitat, visited the latest addition to their resort—the big blue pool with a pirate ship and pink castle by the pond beside it, and enjoyed the breeze and sunset on the dock.
The downside to Villa Igang is that they don’t serve house water so you have to pay for every 500ml bottle. There’s no menu and the food is not only pricey but also takes too long to prepare so you have to tell them a meal time earlier what you want for the next meal and what time to serve it. Accommodation fits the budget though.
This baby’s been everywhere! Blessed much. ;)

Iloilo-Guimaras getaway with friends!
DAY 1
Arrived at Iloilo (where we saw Sen. Jinggoy Estrada at the airport. Hehe) noontime then boat ride to Guimaras. First stop: Trappist Abbey with Fr. Peter. Blessing agad! What a nice way to start our trip. :) Checked in at Villa Igang then went to Guisi Lighthouse. We weren’t able to go down the beach because it looked like it was going to rain and it was kind of a long way down. The beach was very inviting though. The water was very clear we could see the corals from up where we were!
