Hello there gummy bear!

Our OB, Dra. Barbara Papa, was great! Thank you.

On May 2, I got admitted at 3am due to vaginal bleeding (already 3-4cm) and was sent straight to the Labor room even if I didn’t feel much pain yet. Just watched HBO, answered some questions and slept there. At around 9am, I was transferred to the delivery room and measured 7cm. Still didn’t ask for an epidural but my good doctor told me that that was the point of no return already so I said ok and had one. I was relieved of the back pain but can really feel the pressure down there (napa-OhMyGod nlng ako e! LOL!). I think it only took around 3-4 pushes then she was out at 10:09 am! The cord was even wrapped around her neck but I heard her cry almost immediately. Whoo! Leila Alderaan Martinez Mercader weighed 7.6 lbs and measured 54 cm long. Healthy indeed. Hahaha!Thank You Lord for the strength, safe delivery, and for a wonderful and healthy baby girl. Best blessing eevvveerrrr! To God be the glory! Thank You! ♥Thank you Dra. Barbara Jane Ricardo Papa for really taking good care of us all throughout my pregnancy and delivery and for being so encouraging. Thank you Elleazor Mercader for all the patience and love. You have been there all the way. Thanks for your panic and for being so excited and convincing me to go the hospital already, too. Haha! So yesterday, I was feeling sick. Then had tightening and sharp pains around my lower tummy which crawled to my sides and back. Timed them but though they were frequent, they weren’t regular as well and were quite bearable (I was even able to draw this). At one time, I had 3 “contractions” (if that’s what they are) that felt like cramps in 5 minutes lasting only 10-20 seconds. I can feel her pushing down my cervix and kicking up at my ribs almost simultaneously. Had a pretty good beating right there so I thought maybe “this is it”. But here I am making this post. She calmed down late last night and was all good the whole day today. We even walked around the village again during sunset. Haaayyy… what a rollercoaster ride this is! How thrilling! ;) They say, you’ll know when it’s real labor already when you get there. Whoo! Hope that’s true. Can’t wait! Let’s go gummy bear. Whenever you’re ready. 8 more days to go ‘til due date! ♥
